      Remarks & Notes
The DMVW runs a 50 car coal train from Falkirk Mine near Coleharbor to Spritwood once every 5-15 days. To run this train today the Max Local dropped off a 3rd unit to the coal train for the trip from the mine back to Bismarck. Sounds like the DMVW is going to add extra power to some of their trains to help out on the grades? Here the jobs pass each other on the wye at Coal Creek Junction after the Max Job just finished setting out the 3rd engine onto the coal train in the background. I believe the DMVW only has 4 SD50F's in service, so lucky for me to get them all right here on 2 jobs. 3 SD60F's are on their way to the property next month from CN to add to the barn collection for this neat railroad.

The EMD SD (special duty) series are a strong and reliable kind of locomotive which still serve America's rails today. They have proved themselves reliable by clocking in several million miles of freight service over several decades.

Freight Cowls are standard locomotives that have a hood that extends the full width of the locomotive. Sadly, most Freight Cowls have been retired, but a few still run on short lines.
