        Remarks & Notes
On the morning of Veteran's Day 1991--and shooting with friend Elrond Lawrence--Santa Fe 544 West comes up a ramp out of Barstow Yard onto the North Track and heads for Cajon Pass. In the distance, a loaded UP coal train waits behind the 544 to follow it.
