Crossing the Erie Canal. The Genesee Valley Transportation Falls Road Railroad operated a passenger special with the Niagara Frontier Chapter of the NRHS on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from Lockport , New York to Brockport, New York. On the return trip, we catch 2035 (ex-New York Central Railroad 8035, Also RS32, 6/1962) cab forward crossing the Erie Canal in Lockport with telltale charter white flags flying. This units single pane front windshield was an unusual feature of the RS32s.
