After swapping cars with the NX-11 crew handling yard duties, Housatonic Railroad Company road job NX-12 accelerates away from the Wye and passes the restored Canaan Union Station, as it begins it's trek out of downtown Canaan, Connecticut with a fresh coating of snow on the ground. The Canaan-Pittsfield road train consisted of 27 cars pulled by HRRC EMD GP35s 3601 and 3604 on this day. Union Station once was the meeting point of New York, New Haven & Hartford's Berkshire Line and the Central New England's mainline to Boston Corners, New York.
