| A favorite ex-C&O spot on the Big Sandy is the crossovers at Dawkins, few miles south of Paintsville. Pretty easy spot to get into and shoot both directions. Here an eastbound empty coal train is heading for Prestonsburg to tied down. Having somewhat cloudy weather helped me out my day on the Big Sandy. There were lots of trains, but if I would have had to fight shadows, my production would of went down! Like this shot...this would of not worked for a eastbound in the afternoon. |
