| A First for Me. Out of all the times I've visited Tehachapi, this afternoon marked the first I've ever seen the small industry just west of the 4,064-foot summit be served by the Union Pacific. Having run light up from Mojave, the crew of the LOP53 are seen switching out a single tank car among a few others inside Chemtool's manufacturing warehouse here before returning to Mojave with a single car. Chemtool produces lubricant specialists with the Tehachapi facility serving the company since 1998 and expanded in 2002. |
