In 1991 SNCF was in short supply of diesellocomotves needed for the construction of the high speed line LGV Nord. This problem was solved by renting NMBS/SNCB class 59 locomotives and by buying obsolete NS 2400 class locomotive. On the photo NMBS/SNCB 5947 and 5946 with a heavy gravel train on the LGV du Nord near Monacu. At the rear of the train SNCF BB 66024 and SNCF BB 66041.
