| The San Joaquin Takes to the Coast. Skirting the beautiful coast line this morning at 10mph, Amtrak 763 works on a dark signal just north of Ventura as it heads north through Emma Wood State Beach with additional equipment from the Capitol Corridor/San Joaquin service. With US 101 scheduled to remained close for more than a week due to the massive mudslides, these extra cars on every train running north of Los Angeles have played a vital roll in helping people commute between Santa Barbara and points south. |
