Remarks & Notes

This Utah Railway unit coal train is seen swinging out of the large horseshoe curve just below (east) of Kyune, Utah. The 2.4% grade the train has been fighting will lessen at Kyune, about 3 miles ahead. Not seen in this view are the 6 manned, mid train helpers back about 2/3 of the way in the train.The train will be interchanged to the Union Pacific at Provo for forwarding to the IPP power plant near Delta, Utah.
