      Remarks & Notes
A historic 'final move' was made by Pan Am Southern on February 23, to retrieve the former Mt. Tom Power Plant ex-Boston & Maine SW-1 #1849, which was an 11th-hour save by the Berkshire Scenic Railroad Museum. Built in 1941, the ex-B&M 1113 has resided at the Mt. Tom plant since being sold by the B&M in 1960. This would be the final time a Pan Am power set would enter and exit the power plant and the final time the SW-1 would exit the plant. Following this move, the remainder of the power plant will be salvaged and reclaimed by a scrapper. In this view, MEC GP40 350 and 352 lead P&W GP38-2 2009, and MEC B40-8 5956 with the BRMX SW-1 1849 exiting the plant as the final move. The gate would be locked by the plant without a railroad lock following this move, ending more than 50 years of rail service to the once coal-fired power plant.
