| The engineer on this loaded ethanol train left Waterloo about 10 miles back. Thru the ups and downs the train hasn't gone much over 40mph with the throttle in the left corner. In this sag the train will bring itself up to 50mph for a short minute before they roll thru Jesup. The Dubuque Sub between Waterloo and Dubuque is anything but flat, and not much was done to avoid holes like this. Makes for some fun times as an engineer. Sometimes it amazes me the trains stay together as well as they do! |
