      Remarks & Notes
Double-end Cable Car #58, which previously served the vanished O'Farrell, Jones and Hyde Line, is seen here on California Street, between Powell Street and Stockton Street. San Francisco's iconic Transamerica Pyramid can be seen on the left. This 853 ft (260 m) high skyscraper designed by architect William Pereira has been the city's tallest building for 45 years, from 1972 to 2017. It is now surpassed by the Salesforce Tower as the tallest building in the San Francisco skyline.
