An eastbound Santa Fe freight passes a Joshua tree just west of Jimgrey, California, on March 6, 1995. The train is powered by a trio of GE C40-8Ws (Nos. 847, 830 and 940) and is headed for the railroad’s big yard at Barstow. This location is near Kramer Junction on California Highway 58.
