| Railcar Be 4/4 # 515 is shoving the push pull train 1519 of the S 1 service from Schiers to Rh?züns near Malans. This vehicle was built in 1979 and is nearly 40 years in service now, but still very good looking. The RhB got 4 of this "Vorortspendel" in 1971 and two more in 1979, they were built by FFA and SAAS. At that time they were the first series-produced traction units in Switzerland with infinitely variable electronic power control (phase angle control using thyristors). |
