"The Montclair Connection"
Montclair-Boonton Line train 1074 snakes through the Montclair Connection in Montclair. NJ on its way to Hoboken Terminal. Completed in 2002, the Montclair Connection connected the former DL&W Montclair Branch with the former Erie NYGL right of way. Though this breached a gab in service for NJ Transit, it came at a cost of abandoning service on the Boonton Line from Glen Ridge to Kearny, NJ. East out on 1074 is
GP40PH-2 4112 due to the ongoing cab car shortage.
