| A daily ritual takes places at the San Luis Obispo station as Amtrak 14, the northbound Coast Starlight, patiently waits just short of the platform for its southbound counterpart to finish its station work before pulling in to perform its own. While the meeting of these two trains is often at or near the station here, planning where to set up one's shot can be difficult especially when you never know where the engineer will spot the train that will be waiting short of the depot. Luck was on my side on this day as the engineer of 14 pulled his train as close as possible to the platform allowing me this shot. |
