| At 200 km/h (150 mph) the two "Girunos" RABe 501 004 and 001 rush into the 57 kilometer (35,5 miles) long Gotthard Base Tunnel (GBT) at the south portal near Pollegio. The pantograph test drive led from Claro to Flüelen. Stadler Rail delivers 29 of this 250 km/h highspeed trains to the SBB, mainly for traffic between Switzerland and Italy. Services should begin the next year. |
