New England Central's #608 had spent a good part of the midday switching in Palmer, MA on July 31, 2018 before they could finally return home to Willimantic, Connecticut. A couple hours later than normal, the train eventually found the area of Eagleville Dam in Mansfield. Seen from the South Coventry side, the Willimantic River looked refreshing on this hot and humid last day of the month.
