77 years ago in August of 1941, the DRGW 01416 rolled out of the Rio Grande’s Burnham shops in Denver and has spent its life riding behind trains of the famous Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad. Today it still finds itself in the Mile High City, but as a wonderful static display for model train enthusiasts that visit the Caboose hobby shop in Lakewood for all their model train needs. This reminder of the Rio Grande still looks great and is a wonderful addition to the parking lot of this lovely hobby shop. To see where this caboose used to reside, please click here.
