| Plying the final miles to Amtrak's Los Angeles 8th Street Yard, BNSF's "Roaming the American West" business car special passes a Metro light-rail serving facility as the train prepares to turn toward Mission Tower. It was an interesting moment to see a stainless steel train of ex-Santa Fe passenger cars ride the ex-Southern Pacific coast line route into town...particularly with the Santa Fe's original Pasadena Subdivision route to and from downtown in the background, now used by Metro for their light-rail trains. |
