Union Pacific’s Denver to Salt Lake City freight MDVRO works upgrade through golden autumn color at Tolland, Colorado, on September 29, 1998. All three former Rio Grande GP60s are in the lead, although the big road from Omaha has already painted the 3156 yellow and renumbered it 5702. Following the GP60s are six GE AC4400CWs in both Southern Pacific and UP schemes.
