| "LIRR Extra at Waste Management"
Long Island Rail Road Extra 5020 West detours down the Lower Montauk passing Waste Management Review Ave on their way to Long Island City Yard. Extra 5020 was the second train to detour down the line directly behind Extra 5002. This rare detour was a result of a minor derailment at Borden Avenue on the Main Line. In order to get trainsets to LIC Yard for the evening rush hour, 4 equipment extras were run down the Lower Montauk. |
