| The engineer just shifted up the gear for the grade from the Salar de Ascotan to the Salar de Caracote. GT22CU-3(rebuilt GR 12) # 2402 and GL26C-2 # 2010 and # 2005 are running on about 3730 meter a.s.l in the anden highlands in northern Chile towards the border at Ollagüe. Trainload from Mejillones to Ollagüe (-San Cristóbal mine) was 52 cars with 104 emtpy round containers for ore transport. |
