Wide open space and an impressive 2300 ton train on 1 metre gauge, about 3850 meter a.s.l. 3 locomotives of the FCAB are pulling a loaded train (lead/zinc/silver concentrates in containers) from the San Cristóbal mine in Bolivia towards the harbour of Mejillones north of Antofagasta. The train crossed the Salar de Carcote (180 km2) on a dam already and is on the hill towards Salar Ascotan. Locomotives are Clyde Engineering GL26C-2 # 2005 (former Queensland Rail # 2107), GL26C-2 # 2010 (former QR # 2118) and EMD GT22CU-3 (rebuilt GR12) # 2402.
