Remarks & Notes

Newly restored 1102 leads DJ 1221 on a special from Middlemarch to Pukerangi. The Otago Central line closed beyond Middlemarch in 1990 and is now a famous cycle trail that includes several viaducts and tunnels. 1102 was built in Queensland and entered service in 1966. The DJ was built by Mitsubishi and entered service in 1968 and is one of several operated by Dunedin Railways.
