New 8 car "Flirt 3" RABe 526 # 101/201 of Stadler Rail for the Südostbahn in a copper paint scheme, due for the Voralpen-Express service from St.Gallen via Rapperswil-Arth Goldau to Lucerne from december 2019. The train is called TRAVERSO with name "Voralpen-Express" and "Treno Gottardo", labeled for the Südostbahn and the SBB. Such trains will circulate over the Gotthard mountain line too (Basel/Zürich to Locarno) from december 2020, in co-operation Südostbahn (SOB) and SBB. The train has two permanently coupled 4-car parts, numbered # 101 and # 201. The train has maximum 5200 kW power and run 160 km/h, 359 seats in first and second class. The train was on a test run from Biel shunting yard to Solothurn. At Biel shunting yard, there are still wire operated semaphor signals, blue shunting signals and switches.
