A worker at Union Pacific’s South Morrill Locomotive Facility attaches the old exhaust stack from UP GE AC4400CW No. 6704 to a new prime mover that is being prepared for installation during the overhaul process of the locomotive on September 14, 2017. In the background is the old prime mover is sitting next to No. 6778. During this overhaul, the old generator still being good-order, will also be transferred to the new prime mover before being installed into No. 6704. on the adjoining track, sister GE AC4400CW No. 6778 is having PTC electrical work done in the shop.
