    Remarks & Notes
UP 1011 awaits its next call to duty at Oxnard as Amtrak 782 highballs past the aging unit and yard office with a sharp looking F59PHI on the rear. With the ever dwindling number of patched UP motors still able to be found and the sale of the Pacific Surfliners F59's to Metra complete...scenes like this will very soon be a thing of the past.

The EMD GP60s were the last Geeps that EMD ever made. Now, UP, BNSF, and NS use them for local service.

What California is known for. Fires, droughts, weed, and people waving rainbow flags. Yah. Great place alright. At least the trains are nice.

The EMD GP (General Purpose)series are a strong force of road switchers, with thousands produced over several decades.

Some of the best passenger locomotives that EMD ever made (aside from the F40PH). With all Amtrak F59s gone from the Surfline, the only place that they can be seen is with Caltrans (Amtrak California).
