| I have seen many awesome photos over the years of decent size consists from the IC and CCP days of heavy eastbound trains struggling to get out of Fort Dodge here at Lake Oley. Now days 8000 horses can usually get most of the tonnage out of here on the locals. Today's 570 has 10,800 tons on the drawbars and would get down to 10 mph as they make their way towards Waterloo and out of the Des Moines River Valley. The NS 7013 has been assigned service in Iowa as CN continues to be power short thru the winter. |
