"Allegra" railcar ABe 8/12 # 3505 is pulling train 1633 from St.Moritz to Tirano over the Alp da Buond, between Bernina Lagalb and Ospizio Bernina. In the rear of the train are 6 empty fuel oil tank cars, running from Pontresina to Campocologno. In the background from left Piz Albris, Piz Pischa and Piz Alv. The track which is visible in this picture was built in 1934, to protect the Bernina Railway from threatening avalanches from Piz Lagalb. Till then, the track was along the Bernina pass road on the other side of the valley.
