| D&H Train PYRP comes down the “ramp” into Lehighton, Pennsylvania. The ramp was created in 1967 when competitors Jersey Central and Lehigh Valley entered into a joint trackage agreement and consolidated much of their Pennsylvania route mileage to control costs and survive dismal economic times. The train is seen joining the Lehigh Valley main line, while the embankment behind the locomotives is the abandoned CNJ right of way. |
