A visit to the historic Union Pacific roundhouse and yard in Cheyenne is a feast for the eyes. The place oozes history, as evidenced by the vintage rolling stock, cabooses and the odd baggage cars and tenders that populate the grounds. Once such example is UPP 814, a former 24,000 gallon fuel tender (UP 907857) that accompanied the massive GTEL 500 "Big Blow" gas turbine electric locomotives. It has been rebuilt and repurposed as an extra water tender and will no doubt accompany either UP 844 or the UP Big Boy 4014 on their trip to Utah in May.
