| The CSX Troy local, based out of South Schenectady, heads south past the historic Burden Iron works office building (now a museum) located along the former New York Central line to Troy. This building was built in 1882 and is the last remaining structure from the once sprawling Burden Iron works located in South Troy. This pioneer iron mill operated into the 1940's when Republic Steel took over a portion of the operation and ran that into the 1970's. |
