Passing Starlights. The daily ritual, at least when both trains are on time, takes place in front of the beautifully resorted Southern Pacific freight house here in San Luis Obispo as Amtrak's 11 and 14 meet just south of the city's depot. The freight house is owned and operated as the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum and is worthy of a stop by if one happens to have the time.
