| These 4 Utah Ry SD’s have just reached Soldier Summit, Utah with a train of empty coal hoppers. The empty hoppers must have been pulled out of storage somewhere on Utah tracks probably Martin Yard. That lead engine is a unique SD50S, one of 5 built by Clyde Engineering in Australia for Hammersley Iron. They were purchased by NRE and shipped to the US in 1999 and eventually sold to the Utah Ry. |
