| Canadian National train L520 departs Joliet, Illinois behind a trio of Spartan Cab Illinois Central SD70's on a pleasant morning in Chicago's Southwest suburbs. The engineer is notching out the throttle of these venerable EMD's as they attack Joliet Hill which takes this former EJ&E line up and out of the low lying area around the Des Plaines River and on east toward Chicago Heights and eventually Kirk Yard in Gary, Indiana. |
