Rounding the curve at the eastern end of North Platte, Nebraska, on August 19, 2017, is Union Pacific coal train CCAPP9-17, making its way from Wyoming's Caballo Mine to Bain, Wisconsin. Led by ES44ACs 2539 and 8051 (and with AC4400CW 6393 as the rear DPU), this train has 135 loaded cars, weighing 19,305 tons and is 7512 feet long.
