| Texas State Railroad's 2-8-2 No. 30 positions itself with a photo freight along a siding by the Rusk depot for a return trip to Palestine. The new Rusk Depot is located in what was the Rusk City park. It was completed in February, 1977. The TSRR used the original Kansas and Gulf Short Line depot which was located just east in downtown Rusk. The new Palestine depot on the opposite end of the line was completed in October, 1977, as the original was long since demolished. |
