| As Union Pacific train MNPWC-15 (Manifest; North Platte NE to West Colton CA) heads south on the Mojave Subdivision (the old Southern Pacific Palmdale Cutoff), a pair of SD70ACe diesels bring up the rear as the train's distributed power units (DPU). This line was opened in 1967, and was this gave SP a line over Cajon Pass for the first time. |
