      Remarks & Notes
Vanishing breed. A Magnetic Flagman wig-wag guards the WC (ex-Soo Line) crossing of Hart Avenue near Thorp, WI in September of 1998. Although a number of these wig-wags were common at one time, they may have been outnumbered by the WRRS harp style that found favor in the Midwest. Alas, there are far more in private hands these days as only 2 wig wags remain operational in Wisconsin, on the UP in Sheboygan.
