A pair of Chicago South Shore & South Bend GP38-2s, 2007 and 2004, head west down 11th Street in Michigan City, Indiana, on September 28, 2018. These engines will be picking up cars west of town. This is the South Shore's mainline between Chicago IL and South Bend IN, which sees not only freight traffic, but also electrified commuter trains operated by the Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District - which explains the catenary over the street.
