| Proviso to Council Bluffs manifest train rumbles across the Cedar River Bridge on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids. This bridge was once a CNW gauntlet bridge, but later single tracked, and then double tracked by the UP when they went thru and improve the main thru Iowa to what it is today. The Cedar River was fairly high this weekend, but a fair cry when it crested in 2008 almost 12 feet higher. |
