This line was built by Milton Hershey to transport employees and haul sugar, is now only for passenger service. On this visit in 2014, there were three round trips a day from Casablanca (east harbor Havana) to Matanzas, but the service was disrupted and is even more sporadic since the island was hit by several major hurricanes in recent years.
