In low winter sunlight, four Montana Rail Link EMDs howl upgrade as they help a westbound BNSF freight over Mullan Pass, west of Helena, Montana, on a cold February 7, 1997. Running as a manned helper set, SD40-2XR No. 258, SD45 No. 7545, F45 No. 391 and SD45 No. 371 are cut in mid train and are approaching the dark confines of Mullan Tunnel just two more curves away.
