| Reaching the Summit - The 6,288 ft summit of Mtn. Washington was mired in clouds all trip so this Summit was settled for. Originally #1 of the Green Mountain Cog Railway, this steam locomotive became Mount Washington Cog Railway #4?Summit. It was later renamed?Chocorua?and then renumbered and renamed as #8?Moosilauke. It was retired in 2009 and a few years later donated to the village of?Twin Mountain?and placed on display at the junction of Route 3?and 302. Since that time it has been refurbished and renamed back to #4?Summit. |
