Strasburg here we come! As Norfolk Southern Corp Train 955 moves over the Potomac River from Rumsey Point in Shepherdstown, WV, on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 20, 2019, its VIP cargo, former Norfolk & Western J Class 611, emits a puff of smoke. This engine will run at Strasburg Rail Road in coming months, and also receive its annual inspection. It is appropriate that this engine should pass by here, as its namesake, James Rumsey, is credited as the inventor of the steam powered boat.
