"Giruno" RABe 501 # 007 of the SBB was dedicated this day to the canton URI, with a celebration in Erstfeld. On both sides of the cab a blazon of the "Uristier" (bull of canton Uri) was placed (adhesive film) and in the dining car, a aluminium recast of the original blazon of the locomotive Ae 6/6 # 11402 "URI" was placed. After the ceremony in Erstfeld, the "Giruno" ran to Altdorf and through the Gotthard Base Tunnel to Bellinzona. Now the train is on the way back from the Ticino over the Gotthard mountain line and is passing the famous church of Wassen for the very first time (and probably the only time, because the "Giruno" highspeed train will not circulate over the mountain line, but through the Gotthard Base Tunnel).
