    Remarks & Notes
Looking like a chintzy plastic model train, ATI Metals RX-500 01 pulls a single gondola (NW 190979) westbound to their Flat Rolled facility in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania. Built by Republic Locomotive, the two-axle RX-500 is the only all-new switch engine being built in America today. With AC power and a design that requires no special tools for maintenance, these locomotives are ideal for many industries requiring a replacement for their old locomotives that are wearing out. ATI’s track parallels a Norfolk Southern mainline through Natrona Heights PA. (September 20, 2019)
