| I couldn’t manage the time to spend a day with N&W 611 while it’s a Strasburg, but a family commitment in Harrisburg allowed me time on Saturday morning for a half-hour gun and run attempt at a representative shot. The photo charter was in an inaccessible area between Leamon Place and Cherry Hill Road, so I had to settle for seeing the J’s smoke and hearing it working from a distance. I did get one image of 475 at Groffs as it waited to retrieve its passengers after the runby. The photovoltaic panels on the roof of the barn are a clear indication that this particular farm isn’t Amish. |
