Beautiful fall colors in the Engadine! The "Oerlikoneri" (locomotive from the machine works Oerlikon MFO) Ge 4/6 # 353 of the Rhaetian Railway, built in 1914 for this particular line from Bever to Scuol-Tarasp (which was electrified since inauguration), is crossing the 81 meter long and 36 meter high Val Mela vaiduct, which has a main span of 39 meter. During the construction of the viaduct on August 29, 1911, a serious accident occurred when the wooden scaffold collapsed and 12 workers were killed.
